PreSnapRead is always good reading. His team previews each summer are thorough to say the least. Happy for Paul.

Confirmed. All went down in the last 24 hours or so. Good dude. He'll do well.

Wow... The kid has done a great job in Milwaukee. That's not easy to do when two of the other NFL writers there are among the best in the country and have been for 20+ years.

    Good for him.

  5. I'm guessing this job will be open in a year.

Anybody who is faulting the kid for bolting for USA Today is out of their mind. He probably got his salary doubled.

And he's bolted twice now. Quickly. Twice is a possible indicator. Let's see how long he stays with the McPaper.

Agreed, but this was a no-brainer. I don't think people care that he doesn't stay long. There are a lot of people who have done that. I think people are still pissed that he reneged on Orlando to take the job that got him the USA Today gig.

I've read quite a bit of his stuff. The kid is good.

Worth repeating: He wasn't looking to move. USA Today called HIM.

Yeah, I don't get the animosity toward this guy. He walked into huge shoes (Bedard's) at the J-S and did a great job.

He's been trashed previously on this site. Not by you, but I think that's why people (including myself) are defensive...

I hold no animosity. I even said it's too early to judge whether he's the wandering type. I just said this is twice now.
