Went to school with a girl who got pregnant in grade 8 and again in 10th. She was one of three in my eighth-grade class who got pregnant. And there was a girl a year older than me who got pregnant when she was in eighth grade, too.

By all means, teach 11-year-old girls about contraception. Boys, too.

 

King would be the first school in Maine to make female contraception available to students in grades 6 to 8, where students are 11 to 13.

According to the story....this Middle school has 11 year olds Cadet. And I don't care if they're having sex with the a 16 year old, I sure wouldn't want the school nurse prescribing the pill to my kid without my knowledge, which is the situation in Maine. Parents have to sign the form allowing their kid access to the schools Health center, for most parents I'm sure that means "yes, you can give my child aspirin if they have a headache".

 

I was on the pill when I was 12 (my mom did it). I think I turned out OK.

Actually, I'm very interested in the answer to the question I posed, from wicked or anyone.

What can a guy expect to pay out-of-pocket for contraceptive and sexual health needs? Not including pregnancy/child expenses (no, college tuition for Junior doesn't count!), but including things like condoms, STD tests, contributing to her prescription costs, etc.

 

If they go to Planned Parenthood? $0.
