Valentine's Day 2018

    I think I've posted this on these annual threads before: Valentine's Day is the anniversary of my father's funeral (51 years ago today) so that tends to cloud any joy I might feel. The former never understood that and actually used to give me shit about it. Then her mother died and she understood.

    My ex officially took off her ring on Valentine’s Day. Left it on the coffee table next to the couch I was sleeping on and disappeared, not to be seen for about six months.

    My maternal grandfather died six (?) years ago on Valentine's Day. I learned some not so nice things about him a couple of years ago, so I really don't think much about him on the day — and wouldn't have thought of it if Moddy hadn't posted about his dad.
