    My cable company and TiVo.

My cable company - Knology - wants to charge me $168 a month if I want to do DVR. It requires that I bundle everything, meaning I'd have to get digital cable, my phone service (with all the added stuff) and my cable modem just to get the DVR for that wonderfully low price. Fuck 'em.

As for TiVo, I'm not paying $20 a month for a year so I can watch only a few shows.

That's what's pissing me off right now.

Guys at the bar who act like they are still at that high school house party, counting how much they had to drink, asking everyone else around them how much they've had and ridiculing everyone who hasn't kept up.

Since I never went to a high school house party and I like to count things, do I still fall under this umbrella? I don't necessarily count the beers other people have had, but I have been accused of being a little too preoccupied with counting how many beers I've consumed.

I just want to say thanks to those who told me about the Firefox web browser. I'm using it right now (just got it) and so far, so good. It is definitely an improvement from IE, and I haven't had one por...um... graphics-related problem yet. :)

Thanks everyone that helped me out with that, including the links. :)

yes! that's so annoying. no one over the age of 22 should feel the need to constantly discuss how much they've had to drink. i mean it's one thing if it comes up in conversation once or twice over a five- or six-hour evening but otherwise move on to bigger and better topics of conversation.

My buddy made a feature for his final project at film school, and I wrote the script. One of the lines I was prouder of:

Drunken character at party makes obscure, nonsensical remark:

Other character: Dude, how many beers have you had?

Original character: Was I supposed to count?

We panned away and came back to other dialogue but had him in the background trying valiantly to puzzle it out. Classic.

I find it amusing that the "make up lies about yourself" thread started as a catalog of grandiose fabrications and ended up being a "little things that piss you off" thread. Like my "I don't hate the baneful effects of microwave popcorn" post.

So, do I need to mention something that pisses me off? OK, um...well...I'm actually not feeling very kvetchy today. No me pudeo quejar. (I can't complain.)

Not that this state of contentedness and acceptance is likely to remain.

    Little things, but ...

When restaurants put napkins in the bins that go into the counter flap side down so that you can't grab them as easy.

Radio stations (all of them) that need to say what station they are between every song.

Kitchen trash bags that are too loose or too tight for my garbage can.

    Places not having splenda packets.

Having to hear co-workers call all their friends right in a row when breaking news hits "Have you heard ..."

Radio stations that say "Call to make a request" or "Call now to win" and never give the number. Fuck you.
