Vegas bound. Any ideas?

The Flamingo Sports Book isn't much. May I suggest trying Planet Hollywood, Caesar's or the Bellagio? Of course it will likely be packed - especially the Flamingo. I stayed there last year and thought it was always crowded.

Just because you are staying in a hotel doesn't mean you need to do the bulk -- or any -- of your gambling there.

I booked my first Vegas trip recently. Going with the girlfriend and we're staying at Paris. Heard very good things about Paris. Does anyone concur?

The brunch is great. If the weather cooperates, eat at the restaurant the had the outdoors tables at night. It's right across from the Bellagio and you can enjoy the fountains while you eat.

Paris also is in a nice central spot.

    Don't like the casino, though.

Wife and I really enjoyed Paris. Everyone working there was so nice. When we got to the front counter, I told the clerk my name and we were completely checked in and handed the room keys before I could even dig the confirmation number out of my brief case. Room was great.
The Eiffel Tower restaurant is uber-expensive, but great view of the Strip and the Bellagio fountain show across the street.
Paris is connected to Bally's and it's just a short walk. I liked gambling more at Bally's than Paris. But that was more a matter of winnings. Planet Hollywood is next door on the other side. Concur that Paris is well-located.

Haven't stayed there, but I spend time there every time I'm in Vegas. Love the crepe place and the bakery, which are next door to each other.

I really like the atmosphere of the casino, but I don't really gamble, so take that for what it's worth. It's designed to look like you're outdoors in Paris, with a painted ceiling. The result is sort of Disney-ish.

    Location is just about perfect.

My trip is in 2.5 weeks. It will be my second time in Vegas.

Anyone know any sushi restaurants on the strip? Any suggestions for clubs. Last year my friends and I got in free to Pure and Tryst, but we waited in line for an hour to get into Pure. I don't feel like waiting in line anymore. And I don't feel like walking all over the damn place this time around. Less walking and less waiting in line means more time to gamble, booze, eat at buffets and get a tan.

Todai, which is all-you-can-eat and in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. It's $20 for lunch and $30 for dinner Monday through Thursday, $22 for lunch and $32 for dinner Friday through Sunday.

Highly recommended. Lots of sushi, lots of seafood and even prime rib and mashed potatoes if anyone with you isn't a big sushi eater (like me).

The Paris buffet is awesome, though. Really.

I've heard the Paris Buffet is great but the whole trip can't be all buffets. Can it?
