Vegas bound. Any ideas?

What about dive bars on the strip or within walking distance. As I said earlier, the club scene for me has been a bit played out. I actual had more fun last year at Toby Kieth's and I don't even like country music.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind.
I'm not much of a martini guy. Beer, wine, margaritas, Jack Daniels, Jack Daniels and Jack Daniels satisfy my needs.

My wife and I are headed there May 5-8 and will stay at MGM.
I love that city and am convinced that, in some games (but not all) there is a marriage between Vegas and organized sports.
We'll head over to Stratosphere while we're there and cash in our Saints futures wager from 2009.

Well yeah, Atlantic City is insane.

I'm talking downtown Vegas, which used to be different.

    Blitz--well done!

My wife and I will be at the Monte Carlo in early July. Looking forward to World Cup semifinals at a sports book.

I can't believe anybody goes for a week.

By the third day my liver and bank account are screaming to go home.

Beatles Love is a really nice date, if on the expensive side (but what there isn't).

LJB, we do a 6-7 stay, a couple of times a year. Actually, we usually end up much more "used up" after shorter stays. Maybe we just pace ourselves better, during the longer stays. Just trying to get the liver AND the bank roll to the end of the week, sort of forces this :)

I'm going for 4 days and I will be dead by day four because everyone knows you barely sleep in Vegas.

Thanks for the suggestions, there are some great ideas here.

She is bringing 4 friends and they are all supposed to be taking care of all their expenses while they are there. the deal is, mom and I will transport them and get a room for them to share. Anything else is up to them.

I don't know about the bottle service thing, great idea, but it might be above my pay grade. I mean I love her, but probably not that much. :)

She is a big Beatles fan, and we have thought about that Cirque show. The club idea is fantastic and I am going to follow up on that, that would be fun for her and her friends.

Don't really know how much I am going to see her, it's a four day trip and I hope that we will do a couple of things as a family, but if not, well, that's what being 21 is about I suppose.

Look for Cirque online. You can join to become a fan or whatever and look for deals. They have some half-price deals through that on some shows.

My wife and her dentist friend went out there for two and a half days last spring and they both ran themselves into the ground. Dentist was able to write off a lot of expenses because of a brief seminar and they took full advantage, went apeshit. Both returned home sick, too. When they called they were literally giddy, like children on a sugar high. I don't want to say I get bored or restless, but by day four I'm ready to get back to some sense of a real world. Time change, richness of food and drink, too much food and drink, too little sleep, it all adds up quickly.

Rookies frequently go apeshit early and come up 'way short. My longest stint out there was eighteen days, but paced myself like the veteran I am.
