Maybe it's because we're "old married folk", but we tend to keep ourselves close to "home" (eastern) time, while out there for the longer trips.

We get up WAY early, but that helps to get a run or workout in (something I won't skip out there). Plus we're usually back in the room & sleeping ,earlier than most. Figure I can lose my money before 10 PM, as easily as after......

But...like I said....we're a tiny bit older. We want to come back refreshed, not used up

Get her and her friends four club passes to LAX it is the club inside luxor... Should cost about $20 for four passes. Or get her and her friends four passes to Rehab at Hard Rock - its a pool party (Sundays only)

I can eat a lot, drink a lot or stay up late, but I just can't do all three at the same time anymore. Very sadly.

The climate doesn't agree with me either. Last time I actually got a nosebleed and that freaked me right the fuck out.

I don't drink martinis either, as a general rule. I don't like wine, and only infrequently indulge in margaritas (rocks please, no blenders).
Heck, I very rarely drink vodka, but if I walk into a place and see a big bottle of vodka with strips of raw bacon soaking inside - I'm going to have to have a glass of that.
You can call it a bacon martini or whatever you like. I'm going to have to drink one.

    Re the Cirque shows:

You know when you have a bunch of kids at your house for a holiday, and they all get together and decide to put on a show, and it makes no sense and really isn't very entertaining but you know you're supposed to pretend it's great?

That is the Love show. Hated every minute of it.

O, on the other hand, is the greatest thing I have ever seen involving fire and water interchangeably.

Wherever you decide to stay, visit the concierge--with a tip in hand--and and see what they'll do for you in terms of passes to the clubs, shows, etc.

I go for a week....and generally do it three times a year.
    Will be going June 17-24.
There is a catch --- I go with the wife (most times), so my level of inebriation is limited, to a degree (most times).
She goes shopping in the day, I go act like an idiot...we meet for dinner and a show at night...she goes to bed, I stay up all night and act like an idiot -- repeat 7x.

Thing is, the more you spend, the more you get free the next time, there is no question...this time the trip will be, for seven nights at Paris, $105 total. They gave us 5 comp nights and it was like $52 the other two nights.

I will say this: I am rarely taken aback by shows. We sat in the first row of the second deck at 'O', had a great vantage...I was flabbergasted at the stuff those people were doing. It was, truly, amazing that human did such things.

Sounds like you're recommending a teppanyaki place.

Any recommendations on pools? I have in the past hour confirmed a guys weekend to Vegas and this thread is getting me psyched.

I would like to spend a few hours baking in the sun and drinking before sleeping it off and heading back to a casino.
