When it comes to a cool place for couples, there are three choices:

    1. Cosmopolitan
    2. Cosmopolitan
    3. The Hotel (connected to Mandalay Bay) Cosmopolitan

We just stayed at The Vdara and had a very cool, fairly large room, bit of a pain in the ass to get to the Strip though.

Is that part of the City Center Complex next to Aria?

The Cosmo is right on the strip with Vdara behind it and The Aria kitty corner behind it, all part of City Center.

I'm about to look at it. Just checked the Elara (formerly PH Towers) and a 900 square foot room with kitchen, hot tub and 8-foot projection screen is $186 per night. That's going to be hard to beat.

Hot tub? In the room? Ever stayed in a room with a hot tub? I have over a weekend and it was terrible because you breathe chlorine all night!

If this is a special occasion, look into the Four Seasons....it sits on top of Mandalay Bay and you can use all the Mandalay facilities, but you get a quieter hotel and amazing smaller private pool. Downside is you have to get in a cab every time you want to go to the strip, but worth it. Great spa too if your girl is into that. Nothing wrong with Bellagio either!

Well, bring some ass-scented candles with you.

Very cool restaurant on West Sahara called Capo's. The original was a real old-time mob hangout and this is the new location. But still very, very cool. You have to tell them who sent you when the guy opens the little window at the entrance (I said Clemenza) and then the wall behind the pay phone opens as the door. Food is amazing and they had a lounge singer performing. Sounded a lot like Sinatra and when my wife tipped him he asked what we wanted to hear. We told him Dean Martin and he sang about four songs. I highly recommend it. We were there in September. About a 10-minute ride from the Strip. Call for reservations. Great drinks, too.

Great suggestion. I've checked out the site and it looks good.

So I just booked my Vegas honeymoon package.

Getting married the night of Friday, May 31, in my hometown of Elizabethtown, Ky.

The wife and I are flying out of Nashville (cheaper than closer airports in Louisville and Lexington) the afternoon (2 p.m. eastern) of Saturday June 1 and have a direct flight through Southwest. Even with gas to Nashville and leaving the car overnight, it was STILL cheaper than flying out of LOU/LEX/INDY.

Arrive early afternoon Vegas time. Do have a rental car.

Staying at Circus Circus. I know, not that great a hotel. But for what I've spent, not bad.

Got tickets to Shania Twain's final 2012-13 show at Caesars Palace for the first night. In the upper deck of the second mezzanine, but the place only holds 4,300. Plus, tickets were less than $150 combined for the two of us.

Other than the Shania concert and doing the Grand Canyon South Rim bus trip (roughly $100 each) on that Sunday or Monday -- which will basically take up the whole day (thought about doing the drive in the rental car, still might since I have unlimited mileage) -- we have nothing planned. Only one other must see (Brad Garrett's comedy club, since the fiance/wife is a big Everyone Loves Raymond fan).

No real other must-sees (although the Bellagio fountains, the Venetian Gondolas, the Treasure Island sirens are pretty good bets), so help me out.

Got two other full days to fill, plus a half of one (departure flight that Wednesday afternoon isn't until 4:40).

    Help CKK out.

FWIW, I got the 4 nights at Circus Circus, rental car for 4+ days and round-trip non-stop flights both ways for $817 total combined thru southwest.com. Throw in the Shania tickets and I've still spent less than a $1,000 so far.

haven't been there in years, but you have to do at least one really awesome restaurant and one really good buffet. There are plenty of reviews out there to guide you, but there's too much great food to not enjoy.
