I just counted for you. You have a little marker that fills with each bet. It took me $221K (fake money, obvs) in bets to fill the marker (I'm at level 58) and it paid off with 30 "credits."

Never stayed there, but everything about the Excalibur has struck me as a Grade A dump.

The only reason I go through there is to get to the Mandalay Bay and Luxor.

I gambled at the Excalibur. Blackjack tables weren't terrible.

    I miss O'Shea's.

yeah i loved osheas and casino royale right in the middle of the strip -- the holiday too when it was there.

monte carlo has a nice brew pub. luxor's not bad. avoid excalibur. it's your honeymoon; if not now, when? so splurge a bit.

Mrs. Huggy and Huggy Jr. loved the Monte Carlo pools. Brew pub is fine too, with an extensive selection of drafts, albeit at larcenous prices.

I'm have been playing for an hour now and I am completely addicted. Hoping to win a $50 dining credit or tickets to a show for my upcoming trip.

    1. I didn't know about the Pinball Hall of Fame. That's awesome.
    B. I never realized Zion was so close.

It's kinda fun - I like the old (pre-electronic) machines, but they have plenty of the later stuff as well.

Huh, didn't realize they have a website: http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

The owner has appeared on American Restoration on History Channel a couple of times. He's helped Rick rebuild some machines.

I think he might also have been on Pawn Stars to help them determine the price of something.

Surprised I haven't seen any love for NewYorkNewYork; it's my favorite down-market hotel, and Nine Fine Irishmen is a blast.

I've stayed there. For a nice, clean room, in a good location, it's a good choice.

    Nothing great, but nothing bad.

And, yes, Nine Fine Irishmen is great. Drank there on our wedding night.
