Stayed there once. It was nice. But "absurdly big" is the perfect description. That's why I like Ballys. Not too big, great location, nice room for the price. I've stayed there about 30 times.

I've stayed at Bally's yearly for the past 6-7 years. Agree that I like it because it's not too big, rooms are OK, nice coffee stand area by the South Tower elevators. Decent casino. Not overly happy with the food choices because the coffee shop closes after lunchtime. Didn't like their dinner choices, either expensive or crap (Tequila lounge). Don't want to keep having to go through the connector to Paris because I don't like the Paris casino. Last year they started charging to go in the Indigo, which is basically a lounge bar next to the bathrooms.
Tried to book my regular trip this year and was told the free rooms were not available. He wanted to book me into the Imperial Palace, which is being renamed the Quad. I told him I would never stay at that shithole. So I booked a different hotel and got a free room there, not in the Harrah's/Caesars group.

I've never stayed there, but I think the dark history of that hotel would freak me out at least a little bit if I did.

Kind of a long walk? Talk about an understatement.

And not to mention the area between Treasure Island/the Wynn and the Stratosphere is kinda shady.

We almost always stay in the Harrah's chain.

2009 they flew us to Reno for four nights. Room and airfare was like $160.

He asked if Caesar's was walking distance from the MGM, not the Strat. Hell no, I wouldn't walk to the Strat, but Caesar's is absolutely within walking distance. I always stay at the Monte Carlo, across the street from MGM, and you can just about get from the Monte Carlo to Caesar's without setting foot outside.
