We have to go back! (Lost 2009 season)

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by JakeandElwood, Jan 20, 2009.

  1. They won't. I think Doc nailed it: Time will reset itself but those touched by Jacob will remember the previous timeline (the past 5 seasons). Not sure about the Jacob part, but it would make sense if, essentially, the Losties got to land in LA, continue with their lives and improve upon all the mistakes they have made. I have a feeling some will and some won't.

Some analysis from a former poster far more intelligent (in terms of Egyptian history and mythology, if nothing else) than I am.

Love even that last sentence. Every bit of the analysis makes sense ... but is Horace (Horus?) the son of Jacob? Nothing would surprise from this point.

I liked Doc's theory and it makes sense, but I also liked his theory last season on how Season 5 would play out and he was way off.
So the dude could be right, but I tend to doubt it.
I suspect how it will play out is nothing that we are anticipating now.

I love this thread. I used to frequent one on my old college website and while they're some smart fellas, they seem to be way off and behind what's going on over here. This IS the first thing I read after an ep.

    Damn, that is good.

  6. the wife and i started re-watching from the beginning. it's amazing.

on disc 2 of season 1, when locke tells charlie he can have his drugs back if he asks him three times ... he emphasizes so much that it's his "choice" and he makes that decision. locke was so in tune with jacob even from the very beginning.

I'm telling you man, when this thing is all over, this is going to be one of the most talked about TV Shows ever.

    Wow. This got buried quick.

    No new Doc column yet.

I need to start watching from the pilot to now.

I've been catching the syndicated early eps on the weekends. Forgot so much shit, like the blond chick who Hurley pined for (one of his first lines to her: "Have we met before?") and just how pretty Claire is. Not drop-dead gorgeous in a carnal sense, IMHO, just absolutely pretty in a very "cute" way.

It's great to head back and rewatch. I've done so with the pilot a few times. God what a show. I'm thinking about just watching again for the hell of it. But I gotta' finish off Prison Break and probably start Fringe (heard that's an X-Files/CSI hybrid so I'm in).

But there's always room for Lost. Unless, of course, I pick up one of the million Lost-like books that Doc recommends or alludes to every week in his columns.

We bought the first two seasons on DVD because the SO has never seen Lost. So I'm kinda starting over. Rewatched the first four eps last week. It was amazing to watch after just finishing the last season. I keep looking in the background for people who come into play later.
