Also Libby has something to do with Desmond getting his boat. I don't remember exactly what it was, but she played a part in him getting to the island. I got a feeling we'll see more of her next season.

Agreed, I think Libby is actually going to be a fairly big player in some off-island stuff.

IIRC, the producers have said they planned big stuff for Lilly but will have to work around it now because the actress isn't interested in coming back.

  4. Libby gave Desmond the boat. It was left to her by her husband, who named it after her.
She does seem like a huge mystery, but they've said they are done with her.
I hope they're lying like they were about there being no time travel on this show.

She was involved in the same mess with multiple DUIs like Michelle Rodriguez. Apparently it did not end well. If she doesn't want to cooperate, there's not much they can do even if they intended her story to be bigger.

  6. But she has done at least one episode since then (as has Michelle Rodriguez).
That was years ago now. They might all be willing to let bygones be bygones.

I figured she wasn't just someone innocently giving him a boat but someone putting him on a path to the island.

  8. I agree. It can't be a coincidence that she was in the looney bin staring at Hurley like she was obsessed, and she happens to give Desmond the boat and she happens to end up on Oceanic 815.
Also, it may mean nothing, but her husband's name was the same as Hurley's imaginary friend (Dave?).

FWIW, the woman who plays Libby was supposed to be in the Gossip Girl spin-off that was not picked up for the fall season. Suddenly, very available. I agree with those who say it's not likely she comes back, but she is out there (according to IMDB).

Doc is delaying his final column again.

Some Season 6 teasers from Matthew Fox (Jack).

    I find this funny...

"You can read TV Guide's summary of Fox's comments here--and you can read my extensive analysis in my much-delayed Doc Jensen column, posting at long last on Monday."

I think EW.com accidentally posted Doc's column yesterday because I read it. He must've wanted some changes or EW wanted to wait because it's no longer posted.

  12. Alright, so I have been as bad as Doc about posting here recently. Fitting that our returns would coincide. Here is Doc's latest: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,1550612_20245769_20284996,00.html

I like his theories but I felt it was a bit overrated with all the build up. It is nice to know that he will still be focusing on Lost during the downtime, it will be nice to have a little piece of the Lost world still around.
