To be fair, I'd consider the Raiders to be in the Tyson Zone when it comes to NFL teams, followed closely behind by the Cowboys and Washington. Like, there is almost no combination of moves that would surprise me for those teams, unless it was boring, stable ones, like "hire a well-respected coaching or GM candidate and stay out of his way entirely." From day one, Brown on the Raiders seemed like it could end badly, I suppose it's just the speed of it all that's surprising. (Also, by the way - Gruden 2.0 in Oakland has been absolutely entertaining so far.)

The Raiders gained an image of attracting the "bad boys" during the Madden era and have done little to shake it since, even as Super Bowl memories grow more and more distant. I know Brown wanted off the Steelers, but from all we've seen since training camp, I don't think he wanted the next destination to be the Raiders.

One question about Brown going to the Pats.....does Bill want to put up with all of his shit?

On another note, the Steelers have now succsssfully used the Raiders to unload Martavis Bryant and AB, both for third rounders and more. The Raiders have dick to show for it.

This could be Randy Moss 2.0 for the Pats.

If the Pats didn't already have Gordon on their hands, I'd be more willing to believe they'd take AB.

The Madden Raiders were big in the 70s because they didn't give a crud about your hair or lifestyle as long as you showed up on time and played. Most players got that. Once they move to LA - the franchise became more about the weird stuff than the performance. I imagine if Mack was still on the roster, Brown would have listened to him. This business about wanting to be a "human being" and more than a football player is great - but he wasn't getting $30 mil for the off-field stuff. That seems more important to him now - so yeah - cut him. The Raiders weren't going to get $30 mil of value out of him any way.

    Randy Moss was coachable.

Hoodie gave Harrison a private sit down about the picture with Brady in the locker room. You think Brown is ready for that?
