If I were in a survivor pool, I'd probably take either the Pats or the Chargers. My rule of thumb for Week 1 is to bet the two teams you think will meet in the Super Bowl. Doesn't always work, but if you haven't gone all in on the Browns, for instance, it's a percentage play. So I might take the Saints over the Texans.

I think it's always a crapshoot in Week 1 - most of the top teams are playing together for the first time in a game. I went with Seattle over Cincy. The other angle is to pick against a Miami, Arizona or Detroit.

Gotta go Lions - Stafford and Patricia have been on an NFL sideline for real before.

ESPN simulator picked Lions to start 0-11
It’s not like it’s something they haven’t done before

Elliott signing no surprise -- Cowboys always go down to the real deadline.

Jerry Jones negotiations are the best. He wanted you to believe he wouldn't give Zeke everything he asked for until he was convinced Zeke wouldn't play in Week 1 and he eventually gave him everything he asked for.

No question Dak Prescott will be the first $40M AAV quarterback.

They are trying to convince themselves that Goff can play in this league without McVay reading defenses and telling him where to throw on every play. I'm not convinced.
