Yeah, good point. I was thinking of other weeks where there have been multiple MNF games, but they were broadcast consecutively on the same network instead of concurrently on different networks.

Atlanta and New Orleans tied for first at 4-7, and the Keep Hope Alive Buccaneers are alive at 2-9.

Astute analysis from Gruden: "I'm sure Sean Payton is thinking touchdown, onsidddddde kick."

How often does a QB throw for 400+ yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT and have his team still lose?

As bad as the NO defense is, giving up four sacks makes me think their OL needs some work as well.

And actually QBs tend to throw more when they are losing - so more often than you would think.

Third time it has happened to Brees alone.

    2011 vs GB 419, 3/0 L 34-42
    2012 vs GB 446, 3/0, L 27-28

Then there was the playoff doozy in Seattle: 404/2/0, L 36-41

Probably reasonably often. You don't get to throw for 400 yards unless you're losing, usually.

Someone on NFL Network this morning said, "The Bucs are one game out of getting the No. 1 pick and two games out of the playoffs."

    That's a funny line.

Not that this is going to happen, but if Tampa made the playoffs with a 6-10 record, would they be drafting ahead teams that had better records but didn't make the playoffs?

I've never really paid much attention to that when 8-8 or 7-9 teams made the postseason.

The playoff teams always move to the back of the line, RJ.

That's what I thought. That's the way it should be.
