Man, the Raiders had every opportunity to blow that game (and almost did it), fumbled punt returns, stupid penalties, ole defense at times, missed chances - but damn - glad they picked up the W.

Surprised how clean Carr's jersey was at the end of the game.

That was fun to watch. Seemed kinda weird that Allegre didn't just treat it like a kickoff and run about 10 yards before kicking it.

Regardless of how crappy they've been Raider ntl games are always entertaining. I think it has a lot to
do with Raider fans. They always bring a lot of energy and noise

It's illegal in college football, which is why you never see it there. Still legal in high school, though, and it happens a couple of times a year. A kid in Florida I think kicked a game-winner like that a few years ago.

EDIT: Just watched the video. Bring back the barefooted kicker!

I fell asleep late in 4th qtr and woke up to Derek Carr praising the lord.
A bit disorienting and somewhat scary.

That's funny, I had the exact same thing happen. Whenever I fall asleep watching Sunday, Monday or Thursday nights, I usually wake up as soon as the postgame interviews start.

Jets-Bills tickets are free Monday in Detroit, and they're doing a 50-50 raffle to raise money for western NY.

That sounds like a pretty cool time for an NFL game all in all.

Think you won't see it because there's not a lot of kicks that high and short. Most of the kicks today are squibbed and if they do hit it high, it's bounced off the ground and I don't think you can call a fair catch once it hits the ground.

I'm not ready to hand the Packers the NFC North quite yet. It's likely coming down to that last game of the season and even if Detroit loses Sunday to New England, if it runs the table and beats Green Bay in Lambeau, it has the tiebreaker.

I think the team the NFC doesn't want to see make the playoffs is the Saints. Sure, they're probably going 7-9 or 8-8, but that gets them the four seed, which could lead to this:
Play at home vs. Green Bay
Good chance the No. 6 seed (East runner up or SF/Seat/Ari) beats the 3 (East winner), which means a second round game in a dome vs. Detroit.
All of a sudden they're in the NFC Championship game and if Seattle doesn't make it, the weather won't really be a factor.

I'm heading to Lambeau next week for the Pats-Green Bay game. Flying into Chicago Saturday, driving up to Green Bay that night. What should I do while I'm there?
Really excited to see the stadium, more excited that we're in a suite so the elements shouldn't be too rough. My buddy got free tix from the president of his company. It was his third day of work. Eight years ago when he went to Lambeau (he's a Pack fan) he got comped tickets by Rodney Harrison. He's one of those guys who only this would happen to.
