A bit late for this comment, but I didn't have internet access earlier...

Jesse Palmer is the worst fucking color guy I've heard in a LONG time. I couldn't even stand to have the volume on watching the Lions-Packers game today.

All I have to say is this -- I know they did before, but the Steelers really ought to be kicking themselves now for giving away a game or three early this season. Seems like they've got it figured out now.

Granted, it was against the Panthers, Bucs and Browns the past three weeks. But losing to the Raiders? Ugh.

What a touching moment of silence for Lamar Hunt. Nice job by the Chargers.

They're just killing teams right now.

To me, though, the Atlanta loss was the worst. Hold Mr. Mexico and Co. to a FG just once, and you're 8-6 and in a pretty decent spot.

I couldn't stand to have the TV on, at all. ::) ::)

Or just take your time with 10 seconds on the clock, make sure everyone is set, then snap the ball to stop the clock to allow the field goal unit onto the field with a chance to win in regulation -- as opposed to an illegal procedure with the 10-second runoff in the final two minutes of a half -- and they're 8-6.

So many chances squandered this season. Those are the breaks.

Another fine performance today by the Little Genius, Nick Saban. :D :D

Mal Moore on voice mail. ;)

I'm a day late on this one, but maybe Vermeil was hoarse from crying so much over the last few days thinking about Lamar Hunt? That's a stretch, but you know how Dick is emotionally.

What about Owens? Harrington? If Pennington is finishing top 3 in MVP, he should run away with this.

Not to be prickish, but I think you guys got enough breaks last year to meet your quota for five more seasons.

Can someone explain the rule which caused the Chargers to get the ball back on the blocked punt? I'm not very good on the rules in the NFL.

It's like any punt. If the opposing team touches the ball beyond teh line of scrimmage it becomes a live ball. Hence why when Chiefs player ?? tried to run with the ball on the fly and he lost it the Chargers were able to recover for the first down

    which led to

85-yard TD run for LT. WOW. What a horrible turn of events.
