A couple of observations after watching this disaster in Stillwater.
1. The 8-man high school football game I reffed last night was played better than this.
2. Every time I look at the tv and see that Alan Bowman is still playing, I want to start calling him Reno Hightower. He’s in his 7th year. I bet he’s older than 2/3 of his coaches.

 

IIRC reading right, this is the first CBS telecast from Kinnick Stadium since 1985.
I do know that seeing Nessler-Danielson in Iowa City seems a bit strange.

 

They keep showing Gundy and Pittman within seconds of each other and I keep thinking of “Jake and the Fatman.”
