Week 2 NFL thread

  1. So WTF? I can pick up the Steelers radio network.
I get an audio message on WDVE - and others- stating iHeart radio is not broadcasting the game. I have to listen to it via Steelers.com

Speaking of Andy Dalton, Jon Gruden just said "He might not never be a Peyton Manning." Double negative with a conditional. That's an English language high dive with an extreme degree of difficulty.

Yeah, that was a fumble, pissing away what had been an impressive drive.

  5. Points at a premium for this team and the Steelers turn it over again inside the red zone. Nice.

And now the Bengals are making them pay. You can't have those types of mistakes against a good opponent.

Similar to the MLB radio regulations, NFL games are no longer streamed by various affiliates. You're SOL.

  8. Yep.. a 10-point (minimum) turnaround.

  9. Only on MNF? I've never had an issue with it before.

They had a run of first round picks (Hampton, Simmons, Polamalu, Roethlisberger, Miller, Holmes, Timmons) followed by (Mendenhal, Hood, Pouncey, Heyward, DeCastro and Jones).

The first group had six excellent NFL players and one starter. The second group, outside of Pouncey who cannot stay healthy, gives Pittsburgh very mediocre NFL players. Jones is still a work in progress, but you cannot keep whiffing in the first round and stay competitive.

And the Steelers follow by shooting themselves in the foot again, this time with Cotchery dropping a pass that would have given them a first down.

I see nothing to change my mind from last week. This is the same sloppy team that found ways to lose games last year, but with less talent.
