Any prize money if I get all 17 weeks WRONG in the Eliminator pool? There has to be nothing. That takes skill, too.

    Thanks Steelers and Eagles.

Overall, it's a decent point, though a bit unfair to the last two first-round picks.

Jones is starting in his second NFL game and he has already shown some impressive flashes. It's tough to say anything negative about him. Also a bit early to throw DeCastro in as a negative given that the knee injury ruined his rookie season.

Overall, yes, they have simply failed to replace outgoing talent. It's not just first-round picks, either. I keep bringing it up, but they made a terrible decision by not trying to keep Keenan Lewis. You can't let cornerbacks like him get away. Not in this pass-happy league.

Pittsburgh's run defense also might actually be bad for the first time in a very long time. They do not have a replacement for Casey Hampton. I know they keep saying how much they love McClendon, but I just don't see it. Add in the loss of Foote with no real replacement ready to step in and you can see why the Bengals are finding huge holes to run through so far.

Nah, they're finding huge holes because my niece's husband is one of the Bengals' starting linemen. :D

DeCastro, for no reason, took out Pouncey's knee. It was the worst play I have ever seen an offensive lineman make at any level, and that includes not blocking Clowney.

It was one play. An incredibly stupid play, but just one play.

In 1990, a Steelers rookie made one of the dumber mistakes I've seen in a pro game. He forgot that a kickoff is a live ball and let one bounce past him in a game against San Francisco and the 49ers recovered deep in Pittsburgh territory.

Two years later, Barry Foster had arguably the best single season ever by a Steelers' running back.

He was not impressing in his rookie camp before he had his knee blown out.

So they were planning to start him just for the hell of it?

I'm far from sold on DeCastro, but your argument that he should be written off based on one play is a terrible one.

And don't forget Plaxico Burress making a diving catch his rookie year, then jumping up and spiking a live ball.

  10. 32 pass attempts by Big Red in the first half? Wow.

    Football is king? Um, yeah.

Broncos-Giants gets a higher overnight rating than Game 7 of Heat-Spurs NBA Finals.

Awful tripping call against Marcus Gilbert. He falls down, did NOT raise his legs, and a Bengal stumbles past him, calling back a third-down pass to the Bengals 30. Next play, Roethlisberger is sacked and the Steelers are punting from deep in their own end.
