Fair points. I'm sure how much say he had in the drafting of Hood and Heyward is an issue. The failures of those two picks are a big part of the problem.

To take your baseball manager analogy farther, it is also easier to replace the pitching coach than the manager, though in this case, the coach has done more to deserve the team's loyalty.

LeBeau is not going anywhere and people wanted Cowher canned before Roethlisberger came along.

Cowher didn't have a Super Bowl championship on his resume before Roethlisberger was drafted.

Are you really questioning the argument that Tomlin's race is an issue for at least part of the Steelers' fan base?

It shouldn't be and bringing it only dignifies the dog crap it is.

Pittsburgh has always been comfortable with black athletes. The Pirates were the first ML team to field an all-black/latino starting lineup and the Steelers would have had a black QB in the 1970s if he didn't get a real taste for drugs.

Loved watching Jefferson Street Joe play. But you have to wonder if they'd have won those four Super Bowls.

It's hard to do better than Bradshaw in the big games.

Pittsburgh certainly has a better record w/r/t acceptance of black athletes than Boston.

    That's a low bar.

Boston deserves to be reminded what a racist hive it was for a very long time.

  10. It shouldn't be, but it is undeniable. A large part of Pennsyltucky contains equal parts Steelers fans and racists. And often the two are the same.

Honestly, I would have to say Denver.

Seahawks defense is the best though.
