Gosh, I wonder if this kid had any real talent coming out of high school?

What is the relevance to him being a first rounder now? Why didn't he go in the first last year? Stop moving goal posts, nobody said he isn't talented.

Mike Penner is playing football now?

Holy shit! Has Irsay seen that scouting report? I bet if he had, he would have passed on Richardson and offered a 1 to Seattle for this kid.

You'd better send him that link. I think there's a 72-hour grace period on all NFL trades, pending 93Dunce comment and review.

There is none. But we all know that.

At which point we all immediately started scouring rosters to see what third-stringers might be the proper answer. I know I did. It was between Christine Michael and LaMichael James for me.

A kids high school bio has zero relevance in whether he should be a first rounder.

This, from Simmons' column today, which saves everyone a little research....

"[Richardson is] the first back since Ricky Williams to fetch a first-rounder in a trade. Normally, they go for much less. St. Louis gave up a fifth- and second-rounder for Marshall Faulk. Seattle gave up a fourth and a fifth for Lynch. Indy allowed Edgerrin James to leave for nothing."

That's a somewhat misleading point in that the Broncos landed Champ Bailey for Clinton Portis. There might be other similar player-for-player swaps.

    Fair point.

Another thing this whole deal reminds everyone: there aren't nearly enough NFL trades.

What a steal for the Broncos. Just another example of backs being overvalued by some teams.
