7-9 to win NFC East? They have two wins this season, both against each other.

Tough, gritty effort for Jamaal Charles on a rare national stage, the Chiefs defense can win them games and the Eagles are trying to win with only three legitimate weapons, two of which limped off Thursday night.

Chiefs? Looking like a 9-7 team.
Eagles? Another top 10 pick is coming.

I will say this now - if the Eagles are smart they will fire Chip Kelly tomorrow. They will admit this is a failed experiment and that college offense will never work in the NFL and move forward.

I know it is only three games, but I have watched two of them and there is no way this junk is going to work.

Team have already figured it out and this silliness of going for 2 is a joke, too.

That crap worked in college, it won't work in the NFL

Eh, Eagles will be in the mix in the mediocre NFC East. yeah, 7-9 could win that division.

Alex Smith has been a decent QB for a long time. Pretty smart and doesn't try to play beyond his limitations.

    Dude,

You don't sign a coach to a multi-million dollar contract and fire him after three games. I'm sure Kelly and the team brass talked about all this well in advance. Three games --- one of which they won and another which they almost won --- isn't anywhere near enough to make an evaluation of anything.

Don't be too surprised if KC ends up in the playoffs. Play good defense and don't turn the ball over and you'll win a whole lot of games.

The money is a drop in the bucket, it is meaningless to these NFL teams and so that can't be part of the equation, here.

There is nothing at all wrong with admitting a mistake and this was clearly a mistake.

That team will never win a thing with Chip Kelly running his college offense.

And their schedule wouldn't exactly induce fear with a lot of teams.

    Zag,

The jury is still out on that. But do you think they're surprised by any of this? I mean it's not like Kelly came in touting the run-and-shoot and then switched to the wishbone in the dark of night. The Eagles knew --- or at least should have known --- exactly what they were getting.

The Eagles aren't anywhere close to being the worst team in the league right now. They're not the Jaguars, Browns or even the Deadskins. They lost tonight because they turned the ball over too much. Plain and simple.

Not the same thing at all - giving up on a young talented running back is not the same as admitting you made a mistake in hiring a coach
