Yes, it was a nice catch by Chase. But the Carolina Panthers blew two chances to bring him down following the catch, which is how that turned into a 63-yard touchdown catch. Panthers need to learn how to tackle.

That announcer is obviously bucking for a gig with the WWL because only they would try to build up a play like that.

 

The big takeaway for me is this was the first time I’ve ever heard a pro athlete described as reaching the lofty standard set by a collegian instead of vice versa.

When Tua threw the overtime touchdown pass to beat Georgia for the national title, it was 2nd down and 26. That shorthand is legendary in both states.

 

Oh, OK. That explains why someone who lives in one of the other 48 has no idea WTF that was referencing.
