I was in Boone for the last Liberty-App State game in 2014. Was App State's transition year to FBS and Liberty rolled in and won in overtime in one of the wildest games I ever covered on that beat.

Not sure if this will happen, but one of the downsides of the expanded playoff for me is the possibility of teams meeting three times in one season.

Alabama-Georgia, who play this weekend, and Oregon-Ohio State, who square off in a couple weeks, are two pairings that come to mind. Both could be in the conference championship, then possibly play again in the 12-team playoff.

Kind of makes the regular season matchup a little less exciting/important.

I don't know what I want more. Washington being embarrassed or Rutgers losing.

I’ve spent decades rooting for Washington to lose but I can’t even pretend to give a shit about Rutgers. It’s draining the fun out of this game for me.

Do the Fox announcers get paid extra every time they mention the name Belichick?

The ACC must be escatic that it's highest ranked team is behind a team that lost to Rutgers.

It's still a good year for the league. The two traitors have no legal argument for their Trump-inspired litigation.

VPI and Miami with more logo nonsense after the third quarter, after a totally bogus holding penalty negates a Tech TD.

One of the stupider fake field goals I've seen, and that's saying a lot after watching seven years of Jonathan Smith's boneheaded special-team decisions.
