A couple of gems in this one.

President Bush on Friday criticized a federal court ruling that said his warrantless wiretapping program is unconstitutional, declaring that opponents "do not understand the nature of the world in which we live."

I'm thinking the appropriate response to this would be: "I don't think the president understands the rules of the country which we live."

But wait, Bush isn't done. He moves on to Israel.

"The first reaction, of course, of Hezbollah and its supporters is, declare victory," Bush said. "I guess I would have done the same thing if I were them, but sometimes it takes people a while to come to the sober realization of what forces create stability and which don't. Hezbollah is a force of instability."

I would've done the same thing if I were them? Niiiiiiiiice. Exactly what I want to hear -- the president of the US compare himself to a terrorist outfit.

Of course, I'm sure quite a few Iraqi citizens can see the similarities.

I don't agree with Lieberman on 90 percent of what he believes, but I respect him. Ditto the late Paul Wellstone.

I do blame him for lying us into a war, treating the Constitution like a Kleenex, plunging the country into massive debt, having so little respect for diplomacy that most of the world hates us now, and looking like a bumpkin whenever he opens his mouth.

As long as they look at it in an unobstructed view and see it for what the hell it is, you have to give them credit. That's JS's take and he's not afraid to take shots at the top, GOP or not.

It's the kool-aid drinkers who'll stay on the ship and the fringe who'll hate Fredo forever, even if he was a hard-core Democrat is what I can't hang with. Those two camps are fucking crazy. No wonder why we can't wait for football season to get going. We'll need 5 days' worth of football to stay sane (Thursday night CFB to MNF).

Watched Matthews and Scarborough back-to-back a little while ago.

Matthews was all about the war in Iraq, the drum-up to the war in Iran, the GOP's trtoubles (in particular Link Chaffee).

What was Scarborough's lead story out of the gate? JONBENET!
