    Wow. What a shocker.

Great hire for USC. Sucks for the Vols.

And, by the way, the "great hire" that most are calling it is because of the package, not just Kiffin. Monte, Coach O and Chow ... quite the staff.

Will be very interesting to see how the NCAA thing will play out for USC. If Pete Carroll left because he saw the writing on the wall, I would think hiring 3 coaches who were apparently involved in that rule breaking is akin to poking a stick in the NCAA's eye.

Lane can't wait to be singing Rocky Top all night long after he sneaks out of town, it will be a blast.

It will be nice to hate USC again.
This whole thing reminds me of one of those Agatha Christie mysteries where Poirot is able to gather all of the suspects in the parlor to reveal who the guilty party is.
As far as USC goes, this will end up looking like Murder on the Orient Express.

Don't get the love for Kiffin. He didn't impress me with the Raiders. He seemed out of his depth in Knoxville and now he'll go to USC and do God knows what.
I realize the SEC is a tough conference, but with the schedule SC plays every year and not being able to duck anyone in the Pac 10 - I won't be surprised if they lose four or more games again next year.
And really - how can he tell a recruit he'll be there when he's on his third gig and hasn't completed two years anywhere?

Better yet, what's his record against Saban? And Spurrier? He'd be a good fit in Knoxville.

That made me laugh, thanks Dan.

Carroll, Shanahan, and Kiffin = The Three Amigos of Affirmative Action. Herm Edwards is pissed. (LOL)
