    Like I said, that is a plus in a lot of ways over a job like Tennessee where you are under a microscope and scrutinized for every move you make.

    Depends on the person. Kiffin seems like a super-sized ego kind of guy.

    You had me up until the surfers. You're grasping.

    Good press. Bad press. It's all good press. And Kiffin is a master at getting people to talk about his program.

    He's a master at disaster. It will serve him right when the NCAA gendarmes show up at SoCal.

    My point is....he's way higher than the 20th biggest sports figure in LA. I'd say top 10 for sure, probably top 5.

    From Ace's list, probably Kobe, Jackson, Torre and Manny off the top of my head. maybe a few more that would make up to 10. But, if Kiffin pulls the kind of stunts at USC that he did at Tennessee, he probably does come in 5th.

    And Ace, no LA hockey player makes the list unless Gretzky or Robataille or coming out of retirement...

    Curious if USC even bothered talking to Sarkisian;

    More curious as to who Rocky Top goes after;

    Yeah, you chastised a cliche with a cliche. And you don't usually seem the ironic type.

    Names I'm hearing the most are Muschamp and the Air Force coach (Calhoun?). Whoever it is, good luck with this bad boy (that's sarcasm, Zag):

    vs. Tenn.-Martin
    vs. Oregon
    vs. Florida
    vs. UAB
    at LSU
    at Georgia
    vs. Alabama
    at South Carolina
    at Memphis
    vs. Ole Miss
    at Vandy
    vs. Kentucky
