It would be... when Skippy finally gets around to recruiting a quarterback who can complete more than three passes in a row or stay healthy for more than two games in a row.

Fair enough. I just wonder if Chow is worth the money he'll demand. Doesn't seem like he's produced much of anything at UCLA.

When did Chow leave USC to go to UCLA?

Chow went to UCLA in 2008 so he just completed his second year there.

He let USC in 2004 and in between he went to the Tennessee Titans

I know that RichRod was mentioned earlier in this thread, but I couldn't resist:

Some in Vol country still are upset that Charles Woodson beat out Peyton Manning for the Heisman Trophy in 1997. U-M could make it up to U-T by sending RichRod. In fact, I'm sure virtually every U-M fan wouldn't mind in the least.

    Fixed.

And it's looking more and more like Troy Calhoun is the next Vol coach.

    Will he run the option?

    Ah.

Might be onto something. According to the Knoxville paper, Calhoun has called a team meeting today.

I dunno 'bout Kiffin, who could probably use a good ass-kickin' and couldn't do jack shit without his old man, but Ed Orgeron is goin' to L.A. to do a remake of the Jimmy Castor Bunch's "Troglodytes."

With him in the lead role, for sure.

I hate coming across like I'm the only one defending Kiffin, because I'm not exactly a fan, but a scout I know who used to work for the Raiders said he was incredibly impressed with Kiffin during his short time there. He said most of the players respected him and said he didn't doubt for a second that Kiffin would get a second shot at the NFL, all of which surprised me.

I just get the sense that people are piling on because he's from a football family and he's gotten a lot at a ridiculously early stage in his career. His short stint in Oakland is hardly his fault and it's not really his fault that what is probaby his dream job opened after just one year in Knoxville.

I tend to agree. Can't blame him for the Oakland debacle. Can't blame him for taking his dream job. He is, however, a huge douche, which is why a lot of people hate the guy.
