    One of the reasons I'm pissed about his leaving [FULL DISCLOSURE: I'M A VOL FANBOY IF YOU COULDN'T TELL BY MY HANDLE!] is that the team under Kiffin was dramatically better in every aspect than it's been for at least a half-decade. Very few penalties, very few missed assignments, far more aggressive, and believe it or not even fewer arrests and a much higher GPA.

    If Calhoun is the guy for the Vols - nobody can accuse UT doing to Air Force what was done to them. Air Force is a different deal entirely. Hell - I'm sure there are many that go to service academies DESPITE the coach instead of because of the coach.

    But they still are taking the sitting head coach of another school three weeks before signing day and leaving that school to go find a coach. It is the same thing they are complaining about.

    So that whole Tennessee job > Southern Cal job can probably be put to rest now, right? If you can't get Texas' DC or the Air Force coach ... Wow.

    You guys may be right. The Vols are in such bad shape the only coach they may be able to spirit away from another school is Lane Kiffin.
