Actually, it's not too surprising...Crompton overthrows everything!

WFW, hence the phrase "3rd and Chavis," where, if it's 3rd and 4, you can expect to gain 8-12 yards on the play.

I saw the play, as the practice was simulcast online.

The Waynesville Worm Burner (aka Crompton) threw about a 30 yard corner fade. Ahmad Paige, running at full speed, had to turn to get the ball, dove, missed, and slid on the wet grass left shoulder and helmet first. He didn't run into it like an outfielder slamming into a wall, per se.

In that particular corner of Neyland, there's maybe six-to-ten feet between the back of the end zone and the wall, which was bricked over last year, creating even less space. The other corner of the same end zone might be like this, but the north (opposite) end zone, certainly not.

    From the story:

"It was one of Lane's personal assistants, and it was his first day on the job," Hamilton explained.

Glad to see Fulmer got a new job; now if he can just learn to use The Google, too, he'll be all set.

Lane Kiffin is like a Dan Jenkins novel in real life.

I know this might be overstating it -- but this hire is starting to have the look of one of the worst in the history of modern big-time sports.

I mean, this guy is a dope.
