Well, he's got (at least) one guy who is a proven failure as an SEC gameday coach: Cajun man.

A bad head coach isn't necessarily a bad position coach or coordinator.

However, loading up with a staff of recruiters is usually not a good idea.

As terrible as the offense has been lately, I'd settle for running it up on FAU.

Oh, he would. But when has he not, when given the opportunity?

I think most people would like to see Spurrier have another run at championship-level football. I know I'd love to see it.

I'd like to see Spurrier make a big-time run as well.
South Carolina is due and, maybe, this is the year.
And I thought the proper title for Spurrier was OBC as in Ol' Ball Coach?

When he came to South Carolina, he said he preferred Head Ball Coach.

South Carolina's just always destined to be fourth in the East, though — in most cases, anyway. Unless Kiffin drives Tennessee off a cliff, the Gamecocks will still spend most years no better than fourth in the East. They will be more competitive now, but I doubt they'll overtake those other three on a regular basis.

Kevin Steele is the poster boy for horrific head coach who apparently does something right as a position coach or coordinator.

I hated Spurrier for the longest, but he's become one of my favorites because nobody is more entertaining.

The more I read about Kiffin, the more this seems to be a disaster waiting to happen -- as if that process hasn't already started.

And what is the over/under -- based on the number of coaches with better teams he has already pissed off in that league -- on the number of times this team gets the score run up against it?

This dude ain't very bright and seems to have the kind of arrogance that will ultimately bring him crashing down.

I could be wrong, but the early evidence seems to suggest I am not.
