Spring sports season for the majority of high school teams in my area begins tomorrow and about a dozen things are scheduled over the course of the week.

So of course, it rained yesterday and today and is supposed to rain the majority of the week. The lowest chance of rain is on Wednesday...when, yeah, nothing is scheduled.

Our whole coverage area moved its games to today to beat the weather.

It's pretty much rained here for two straight days. A cold rain. My right foot is cold.

My cousin called to say he is leaving Michigan to head back home a day early because of the snow storms ... that are going to hit his house in Virginia. How bass-ackwards is that?!

The high school, in desperation to get each team at least two games in for each team, has changed a two-day baseball tournament to a three-day tournament. Earlier in the week, the forecast for today called for rain beginning after noon, which was supposed to turn to snow around 6. And Saturday's forecast high is only about 36. So they moved the games in the lower half of the bracket to yesterday and played them out. Today, they're playing the games in the upper half of the bracket. The first one started at 9 a.m. and the last should be over about now. Tomorrow, they'll play four games to decide places. The original plan was six games today and six tomorrow.

It's just now getting cloudy and the precipitation is lingering well south of us. Instead of rain and snow all day, the forecast is now for maybe some stuff to begin around 8 and end by 10. That two hours, though, is supposed to be pretty awful and there's still a freeze warning.
