Woke up this morning to 39 degrees, got up to about 58, but it was the coldest damn 58 degrees I've ever experienced, and I spent 7 hours in it, with a softball and baseball doubleheader starting at the same time. Our guys played a 3:50 first game (9 innings, lost 16-9, we made five pitching changes and two teams had 31 hits total), then played a 2:25 second game (7 innings, won 4-3). Our girls did it right, played two run-rule games (we won the first, other team won the second) and were done before the first baseball game finished.

This spring has sucked miserably. Maybe one day in the 60s, then back to more rain, showers, drizzle, mist and gray dismal days, which are forecast for the next week or so. No wonder Lewis & Clark bailed as soon as they could.

My family's looking at 18-27 inches in MN this weekend. I think they're cursing the ancestors for ever going there.

This is Kansas weather tonight. Winter weather advisory on one side of the state (purple). Tornado watch on the other (yellow).

And yes, that's a blizzard warning in south-central Nebraska.

This is the second Friday in a row I got a hailstorm. This one wasn’t as bad as last week, fortunately, because it hit earlier and I had to wait it out at work instead of at home with my sled safely in the garage.

66 in my corner of the northeast today and heading out to play my first round of golf of the year. Many mulligans to be taken and given.

We just got a little cold snap and a little breeze way out west. Gusts to 60.

They say the summers make up for the Northwest winters. Nothing makes up for the Northwest Spring. It's brutal and usually more extreme than the winters.

24 inches of fresh snow here in Minnesota. Blizzard warning from Friday evening through Sunday morning.

Supposed to be a couple of weeks into prep spring sports season. Hasn't really started yet. About a handful of events total so far in our 11-school coverage area. Probably will be another couple of weeks to dig out of this mess.
