Why should I have to apologize to you? I misread JW's post and I should be apologizing...right.

I'd like to see what mighty Rutgers would do with a trip to Beaver Stadium ... THIS year, against that truly mediocre outfit.

Since when is Missouri, a Big 12 team with a 7-2 mark, not a real program? And now you're starting to show some utter lack of knowledge about college football. And utter lack of remembrance about that thing called scholarship limits, which assured that Ohio State, Nebraska and Oklahoma would no longer have NFL-quality players five strings deep. There are enough good players around for smaller schools and lesser-known schools to get them.

And you're avoiding the issue: Upon what, other than your condescension and your apparent omniscience, do you base the contention that Troy Smith is the Ryan Sonner of quarterbacks?

I don't agree with that, but hardly my point.

And let's see, Brad Smith was the only player in NCAA history to throw for more than 8,000 yards and rush for more than 4,000 yards in a career. God, he sucks ass.

Never said they sucked. Just don't get why you are to Ohio State/Michigan what Almost Famous is to Vickball. Ohio State's damn good, but let's not get carried away here.

Best offense all-time? Yeah, that's being carried away. I watched the Penn State game -- no way that's the best offense all-time. The best don't have days like that.

Lobbing up softballs? Okay, fine ... this one's going out of the park and bouncing three times on the freeway before it smashes somebody's bedroom window.

Drafted fourth overall in 1975 out of ... Jackson State. He was fourth in Heisman voting in 1974.

Don't forget the best tight end in the NFL didn't play college football. But he did play in the MAC.
