Ohio State might have a better offense if Tressel didn't have that "win every game 17-10" Big Ten mindset.

They've got all those nice, shiny toys on offense, and don't want to play with them.

Weak arguments, Junkie. Again, I would take Penn State's 1994 offense over this year's Ohio State offense in a heartbeat. Buckeyes don't have the best college football offense all-time, let alone in Big 10 history.

Could care less. If you talk about best offenses all-time, they better have the yards and points to back it up. You can't have said offense only match its own defense in scoring during a 28-6 victory against Penn State, a game where Troy Smith completed 12 of 22 passes for only 115 yards with one touchdown and two picks. In fact, the Buckeyes outgained Penn State only 253-248 that day.

Now, if you want argue most talented offenses in recent memory, you could more successfully make an argument there. Even then, you would have to weigh these Buckeyes to the Edgerrin James/Willis McGahee/Clinton Portis/Frank Gore Hurricanes, which had talent everywhere. And we know where those guys were drafted. We still have to wait and see where the Buckeyes go when their time comes.

The closest this Ohio State offense gets to all-time greatness is a visit to the college football hall of fame. Troy Smith is Brad Smith, only a better supporting cast.

By what criteria? He's at the helm of a balanced offense with a lot of talent (tho not of the halogen heat-Nintendo curveball level you put them at), and he doesn't make many mistakes. He having the kind of season 6-8 quarterbacks have every year. And don't go mistaking Brad Smith for Jack Mildren. He had a decent arm, he just didn't have the poise thing going when he tried to stand in against a pass rush. His arm was no worse than Troy Smith's. He just didn't have as good an offensive line, and his receivers often had hands of stone. BTW, Brad Smith has 69 NCAA records, to how many for Troy Smith?

If I may paraphrase you, hondo, "Sorry, I was as much if not more Ohio State football than you, both in person and on the tube..."

Exactly what has Ohio State played close to the Tressel sweater vest this year? They've dominated every opponent.

They led a shitty Penn State team 14-7 midway through the fourth at HOME. Had Beaker not thrown the two late interceptions, PSU is very much in that game. ANd I freakin hate Penn STate.

    Beat me to it, buckweaver.

Obviously, anybody who doesn't go to a major program to play his college football is worthless as a player. I mean Steve McNair was sure a piece of shit as a player.
