Come on. That's not good enough. That's not a blank check. Early humans slaughtered entire tent villages in retalation for slights. We've evolved from that. We're still evolving.

I didn't use the phrase "character assassination".

I still just find it funny that the historical inaccuracies of this film upset liberals so much, and that they are deemed to be "much worse" than those in other films.

Oh, but it is a blank check. We're in it to kill it.

    Evolving. That's what we're doing.

What's the name of the dipshit who wrote the Vox article -- or at least the headline -- I just linked to?

But that's the thing. Today's primary enemy has not evolved. People want to ignore that, and while we can -- and in most cases should -- try to be as clean and efficient as possible with all our technology, Xan is right. We're not playing geopolitic Battleship. Bad, violent things have to happen to win a war. Otherwise, we're just wasting lives for politics. [/crossthread]

To be fair, the push back from few remaining fans of LBJ who are still living against Selma is also pretty amusing.

Meanwhile, all these asshole critics are simply giving "Selma" a pass.
