What a shock: Hollywood pushing back at "The Sniper"

As an accurate portrayal of Chris Kyle, I thought it fell very short.

As an accurate portrayal of the toll of war on an individual and his loved ones, I thought the "Hurt Locker" was better, but this was good, too.

I don't think it purports to be pro- or anti-war. It accepts that war just ... is .. and, with that out of the way, focuses on the real subject, not unlike "Unbroken" does, which is the experience of an individual soldier.

I can understand why some consider that a cop-out, although "Hurt Locker" didn't tackle the big question head-on, either.

The biggest surprise of the thread is that Whitman bit torrents.

Given your interest in topic don't you think that it's important to read the book to give you a more well rounded
view? I mean the book is kind of the linchpin of the whole thing.

If you did not see the movie in the theater where would you see it? Was it one of those Seinfeld bootleg things where someone went to
theater and video taped it? A classic episode that lead to the Elaine dancing and gave us the expression "you dance like Elaine Bennes

I wouldn't begin to know how to download a movie from the Internet.

    Someone had a copy.

I think it's obvious that Dick is a voting member of the Academy, and was sent a screener.
