I had an old fashioned made with Jefferson's Ocean last night, a much-needed cocktail at the end of a rough week. With tonight's pizza dinner, I had a Shiner Christmas beer. It's the first time in a long time that I've had alcohol two nights in a row.

 

Lemon basil margarita. Pretty damn good while grilling.

 

Arctic Vibe Celsius… the one flavor in the mix pack my daughter doesn’t like.

 

I was in the store today and saw Kraken Gold Spiced Rum. It's new as far as I know. I asked the proprietor if he'd heard anything. He said no, but maybe I could report back.
I said, "I'm your huckleberry."
Holy cow. It's good.
I get a lot of vanilla and cinnamon flavors. It's very smooth.
I like it... probably too much.

 

I bought Fat Tire for the first time in about a decade and I'm disappointed. The strong roasted flavor is gone. It just tastes like another beer now.

 

Coors khaki.

 

I walked 18 in south Louisiana today, so .... lots of water.

 

Polar cranberry lime seltzer right now. Will have a local brewery's kolsch that I like while grilling, A zinfandel for dinner. Cheeseburgers and homemade (by Alice) cole slaw tonight.

 

Been the summer of the Paloma.

 

Fake sweet tea (it has lemon juice). Gross.
