What are you giving up for Lent 2010?

I'm not religious, so it's not really a Lent thing, but I have given up alcohol.
An acquaintance of mine gives up alcohol between the Super Bowl and St. Paddy's.
That's what I'm doing, but not as a religious observance. I'm just drying out and losing a little weight.

Breakfast Jack Combos. I'm addicted to the darn things. For me, harder to give up than smoking. Also, no candy.

Unless he's not getting any anyway. Then it's a pretty safe sacrifice.

Maybe he meant Tuscan cat stew?

I was going to give up chocolate until I went the grocery store today and saw the Valentine's candy was 75 percent off. Damn you, Walgreens!

    Walgreens is your grocery store?

Unnecessary shopping. It's easier now that I don't live around the corner from The Gap, Burberry, Nine West and Banana Republic.

Well, drinking is out as I sit here with a beer in hand, and a few more in the fridge.

Meant to say drugstore. Must have been the lightheadedness from lack of chocolate ...
