What do you expect from a minority hire?

Things were going well but I feel once again this will not end well.

Being in a position to hire and fire, and I have to admit over the years I have hired more times than I have fired, I expect minority journalists to 1, be qualified. 2, bring a different perspective to certain stories, 3, to be an intricate part of the team.
When there are race-related stories, such as the Va. Tech shooting and rioting, I don't want them to be the first line of defense. I'm not rushing to send them out on race-related stories soley because of their race. However, I do expect feedback, either negative or positive, in the way we are handling an issue. I hope that answers your question.

What is this intrigual your group speaks of? IJAG is confused by your slang terms that do not show up in dictionaries.

We want to know why IJAG is hating. We would hate to see a thread asking a very pertinent question be ruined by people with no lives wanting to pick message board fights.

IJAG is asking a pertinent question. Boots and his crew are running and hiding from the real issues!

I fixed the post. The word is intricate. I don't know what you are referring to when you say "crew", elaborate, please.

We're wondering here why Doc has refrained from DickInSheep references. They made us laugh, and frankly, we're a little concerned.

We've been hurt by boots calling us a loser, so we've decided to be nicer.

  10. Can't you ask one of your personalities to edit your posts?

Write-brained, this is directed to you and will not go to a pissing match. Please mature and grow up. If you're not bringing something constructive to the thread, there are about 3,000 other threads that you can do what you do best. OK? We're not trying to be nasty so I trust you won't take it that way.

IJAG is pretty sure you and your peeps would have meant integral.

    Main Entry: 1in·te·gral
Pronunciation: 'in-ti-gr&l (usually so in mathematics); in-'te-gr&l also -'tE- also ÷'in-tr&-g&l
    Function: adjective
    1 a : essential to completeness

    Intricate, on the other hand?
    Main Entry: in·tri·cate
    Pronunciation: 'in-tri-k&t
    Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin intricatus, past participle of intricare to entangle, from in- + tricae trifles, complications
    1 : having many complexly interrelating parts or elements : COMPLICATED <intricate machinery> <an intricate plot>
2 : difficult to resolve or analyze

But hey, boots, you and all your personalities can use whatever word you want.
