I met the girl of my dreams when I was 19. We've had two great kids and have three glorious granddaughters.
I thank my God every day for them.
I can't really think of anything I've done that's of any consequence.
So maybe Death of a Salesman.

What do you mean “of consequence “? IMHO your kids and grandkids are more than anything you could’ve done.

Rounders is the kind of script that makes a writer jealous. And all writers innately know that jealousy. The uneasy understanding: "I could never do this."

Oh God, I hadn't thought of this, but yeah - Jack Black's character hit way too close to home. Like, WAAAY too close. The scene where he's reaming the customers because they are Echo and the Bunnymen fans who are unfamiliar with the Jesus and Mary Chain? That was played for laughs, and I sat there quietly agreeing with him. What Bunnymen fan wouldn't at least have "Psychocandy" on vinyl?

    Also, The Big Lebowski.

    Rounders, huh? Barstool lurking?

Shitty list. Casino is a mob movie, not a gambling movie. Oceans 11 is a heist movie.

That said, Rounders is the best, I’m literally watching 21 right now and Molly’s Game is criminally underrated.

To answer the original post, I’d say “Into the Wild.” There are many other films I like better and others my family and friends would “associate” with me — Return of the Jedi, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Goodfellas, Gladiator, et al — but there’s something about Alexander Supertramp that captures an inner spirit I’ve always had, but never been able to fully realize (maybe for the better given his fate).
