What (or who) are you tired of?

I'm tired of running the air-conditioner all winter.

 

People who, around NCAA Tournament time every year, act as if it's such a chore to find a television channel they're not used to watching.

 

This could go in the First-world problems thread, too.

 

Had an old woman call the office the other day asking what channel TruTv was. She has Direct TV, of which I am clueless in the channel numbering scheme, so I suggested she check the guide. Even told her it's probably around the Discovery or Turner channels.
No dice.
Had to sit there for five minutes looking up the channel number. She then suggested we put it in the TV listings, which would be fine if there weren't a dozen different viewing options these days and listing them all would take up half the section.
She was polite at least, but clueless. She mentioned how she'd never heard of TruTv (which has been around for three or four years at this point) or couldn't remember when they started putting games on there (again, three or four years).

 

Five minutes, huh? I hope you're just exaggerating and you really meant five seconds. Google is a helluva drug.

 

Thin skinned, sensitive message board posters.

 

For future reference (to all) TruTV is 246 on DirecTV.

 

Sadly, no. I usually use TitanTV.com for all of my TV-related questions and for some reason (I think because I'd just started my computer) it was loading up super slow. That was after I did Google it and couldn't find it in the first few hits. So I spent about two minutes trying to convince her to just look at the damn guide and another three trying to get a site that I knew had the answer to load.

 

People who act like they're Indiana Jones figuring out the 5-12 upset in the NCAA tourney - yet get all snobby about the First Four.

 

I solved that problem a couple of years ago. If I go to cover a high school basketball game, I pick one of the two that is the most meaningful and concentrate solely on that game. Don't even mention the other game. Saves me a ton of hassle.

 

In an age of instant communication, cell phones, Facebook, Twitter and God knows what else, why on Earth do people still insist on honking to announce they are in front of someone's house to pick them up at ri-fucking-diculous in the morning? Call the damn person! That way you don't wake me and any other neighbor because of your laziness.
