The Baseball Show with Rany and Joe is really good as a near-current baseball analytics/analysis podcast. Also like The Solid Verbal and NPR staples are This American Life, Fresh Air and Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me. Good entertainment one, for me, is How Did This Get Made?

If you're a Tony Kornheiser fan, search "This Podcast Stinks" on iTunes or Google. It's an unedited version of the show that is often up within minutes of the radio broadcast going off the air (though not always). Contains about 20 minutes of content you won't find on the ESPN version and isn't subject to the infamous "podcast delay."

"Same Day Tony" offers a similar service with better audio quality. Real life sometimes intrudes, so I like having both sources at the ready.

I've never tried those -- I hate the podcast delay, as I don't have wifi at work which will allow me to download. Unless, I run over to Starbucks, I'm listening to Monday's show on Wednesday, etc.

On the bright side, I did get my TK show sticker last week.

We went to a live, Moth Story Slam event last night at a local bar/music venue.

Very cool. Good, funny stories. The host was fucking hysterical.

Definitely plan to go back. Check one out if they have one in your area: http://themoth.org/events?month=2013-06

I love Now Playing, especially because they take the time to edit the boring bits out. If you like The Flop House, We Hate Movies (http://www.whmpodcast.com/) also tackles lousy movies.

There's a relatlively new podcast called Audio Spackle that I like. The host and a guest—usually a music journalist of some sort—will name the best songs for a particular situation, such as getting dressed to go out, or songs to sing along to, and such. I like it in part because it's hard to follow music as much as I used to when I was in my teens/20s, and so I like hearing what is usually fun intelligent discussion from people who are way deep into it.

Marc Maron is recording his next podcast in the morning, from his garage, like he always does.

His guest dropping in for an in-person interview? Barack Obama.

As they say in the business, "Good get."

He teased a big announcement coming up and I was sure it was going to be Lorne Michaels. The president was almost a let-down.

I listen to wrestling and MMA podcasts mostly, but do listen to the insanity of Joe Rogan as well. I'd like to get into the ESPN podcasts, but there's so many of them I'd like to listen to that if I ever invested in an IPod (I use an mp3 player) that I'd probably never catch up...

When do people listen to podcasts? I find that the only time I'd have to listen would be on the way to and from work. Maybe at the gym, but that's only an hour a day.
