Local team, which is pretty good for its class, struck out 31 times in a 15-inning loss last week. At first I thought Lisa Fernandez rolled through town.

    A 3 p.m. game starts at 3 p.m.

But, for me, a 4 p.m. doubleheader starts at 5:30. They start without me. It's easy to catch up during the regular season.

Excuse me sir it says oin my invitation the game starts at 3:00 does that mean you open the gate or they start playing the game at this time? I am very confused and so 3:35 sounds like a good time to show up. But then again 1pm sounds even better because then I can talk to this SID you guys have for a while.

Got to the field for a 4 p.m. start at 3:55. Local boy threw an 89-pitch 3-hitter. More curves than Kournikova. He dared the kids to swing at his curve, and they still lunged and missed badly. Best-pitched game I've seen this season.

No player in any team sport is as important as a softball pitcher.

She could have 8 Michael Scotts behind her and still pitch a shutout if she is good enough.
