Actually, I remembered, but thought it was more -- what to cook quickly, than what to make when it's too damn hot

It's stuff to cook under ten minutes--which means you won't be sweating over a hot stove.

I mean, you can cook a fish fillet in no time at all.

However, Ms. Slappy is picky -- doesn't like Pizza or seafood, which wipes out much of the list, and can't handle anything spicy....
    Looks like Mac and Cheese

She doesn't like Pizza. That's one of the four major food groups.
The others being beer, wine and scotch. :)

Buy a TV dinner leave it on your car's dashboard with the windows rolled up.

It will be done by dinner.

I had sushi last night. I also had watermellon.

I will be going to a Mexican restaurant tonight. I don't think that would fall into the category of keeping me cool but it certainly keeps me away from the oven (not that I ever really go near it).

It sounded weird to me at first, but I have a brother who refuses to cook inside during the summer and instead cooks all his food on the grill. It makes sense if you wanna stay cool. You start the grill and sit in the air-conditioning while it gets ready. You take a minute to put the food on the grill and check it briefly 2-3 times while it cook, all the while sitting in the air-conditioned comfort of home in the time between. When the food's done, you bring it in and eat in a house that's nice and chilly.
