I just did the unthinkable and added some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce to cole slaw. I had a Marzetti's recipe that called for it. To my shock, it's actually quite good. You just go half BBQ sauce and half Marzetti's slaw dressing. I added some fresh pineapple and a handful of these salsa cashews I bought. That gave it some extra sweetness and crunch. I haven't tasted it since finishing off the recipe with a few shakes of Tabasco sauce.

    Grandma Slappy's hamburgers....
To each pound of beef, and two teaspoons of moisture. Doesn't matter what -- mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce, wine, hotsauce.... -- and mix in as you season...

Moisture burns off in the grilling, you get the flavor -- and you can over cook a little since the whatever will keep them moist.

Since I'm stuck at the office today, I went with Arby's 5 for 5.95 deal here. Got three melts, cheese stix and a diet coke.

And when I came in, a co-worker so graciously brought me in some homemade banana pudding that was deeeeeeeee-LISH!

Here's another way to cook steak if you're not grilling it.

Preheat oven to 500 degrees and stick a cast iron pan in for about 11 minutes.

Turn a burner on and crank it up.

Take out frying pan, sear the damn steak for about 2-3 minutes per side.

Put frying pan back in oven and finish cooking.

If it's a 2" steak it probably won't need more than 5-7 minutes in the oven for rare.

    About 11 minutes?
    Is that 10:57 or 11:08?
How many U.S. minutes is that?

I'm trying to remember if I remembered to stop and eat tonight. If I remember correctly, tonight's the night I settled for a burrito. I miss cooking, I need to cook one of my big meals. OMG I need to make my roast!! I'm hungry just thinking about it.

What's that jello stuff called with the bananas, whipped cream and a few other things called? It's one of those desserts that's been around forever that I remember from church dinners when I was really little.

Two ham and turkeys, with provolone. And a pack of peanut butter crackers.
