    It took a few weeks, but they did get them contained and under control. Despite the size of the fire, I don't think anyone lost their life, though there were quite a few buildings destroyed.

    No fires, but we're still in dire need of rain up this way.

    Clam chowder (bought in pints from a Carolina Beach restaurant, frozen, reheated slowly)

    Whatever the lady wants to drink (I'm betting SWEET tea--sorry, Moddy)
