What's for supper tonight?

    My mom used to make cocktail meatballs for parties sometimes when I was a kid. I think she got the recipe in one of those supermarket mags. The sauce consisted of melting a jar of currant jelly in ketchup. This sounds really repulsive but actually tastes pretty good, and I made it myself a few years ago. However, it's hard to beat regular Italian-style tomato sauce as an accompaniment to meatballs, so why do something different?

    Last night was a Fats Domino burger at Hut's. Super way to celebrate my return to Austin with my friends.

    Tonight I'm thinking Mexican.

    Grilled salmon marinated in pepper and soy sauce, stuffed portabella caps, red cabbage salad and artichoke and spinach hummus. Mmmm.

    A caesar salad (light dressing) with grilled chicken on top and a yogurt.

    Buffalo burgers with onions, lettuce and pepperjack cheese. And Tater Tots.

    I love those things, but only deep-fried. There's a burger stand around here where you can get them.
