Adrian made gigantic egg rolls and pork fried rice.

As an appetizer, I had something called Bertie Bott's Beans, which is apparently a Harry Potter thing. Jelly Belly makes them. Adrian wouldn't eat them. She's read the books. I haven't. So I thought it was pretty funny that they had flavors such as dirt, booger, earthworm, rotten eggs and sardines.

I stopped laughing after realizing that these things taste a lot more like their names than most of the fruit-flavored Jelly Belly products. If you don't believe me, pop a sardine bean into your mouth sometime. I nearly had to vomit. Oh, there's a vomit bean, too.

Heh, heh. He said "tossed salad" and "Birds' Eye".

I had grilled pork chops, grilled orange and red peppers and some cheese rice.

Aah, that name brings back memories. Whatever happened to Clubber Slang?

On Thursday, I had soup without a spoon, roasted chicken without a fork and beer without an end. I also cheered for a man wearing purple tights and riding a horse. Just as they were handing out apple pastries, he was knocked from his horse and slaughtered by another man in tights.

Oh, yeah. My wife got some. She says you have to have a "good" Jelly Belly bean right afterward to counter-act the Bertie Bott's bean, or you will really get sick.

    Especially with the rotten-egg bean.

I spit out the bad beans, but I was compelled to taste each flavor. There were but a few that weren't disgusting flavors. Even the good flavors were only marginally tasty. For example, cinnamon and blueberry. I tried repeatedly to eat soap. But I kept getting sardines.

    A French restaurant in Chicago.

Es cargot, foia gras, rich cheeses that I can't name... and that was just the appetizer.

My brother picked up the $200 check for three.
